At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm in Tahoe. Getting ready to go to a hot spring in Carson City with my sister. I've never been to a hot spring before.

The last two weeks have been insane.

One project manager has four projects that need construction documents completed (by me, this isn't even including the projects she's got other people working on).

Another needs me to set up design documents to send to contractors (and, BTW, they need to be done NOW!!!) and in order to do that I have to draw 30,000 square feet of ceiling plans at the same time as the project manager is making plan changes that change my ceiling layouts.

I got a request two weeks ago from a facilities manager for a modified set of documents for his entire hospital campus and I haven't even been able to start them. In fact, I keep forgetting about them.

I busted my ass yesterday to put together a meeting agenda for a staff meeting no one had time for - meaning I could have been two hours ahead on one of these other projects...

I've been on three as-builting trips in the last seven days.

It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to either stay a full day on Friday in order to complete stuff (meaning about 5 hours of overtime, not including what I've already done this week) or come in on the weekend - or *shudder* both.

Apparently I've become the finishes guru of the office - I'm the one in charge of selecting paints, carpets, and laminates, and I'm also, apparently, the only one who knows where the samples are...


I'm so mentally exhausted right now. I'd go home and cry if it didn't take so much effort.
