There is no "America's Team", the NFL does not have teams in other countries. I have always loathed that arrogant slogan. If one insists on using it it would be the team that wins the Superbowl each year. The only people that like Dallas are Dallas fans, the rest of the league and it's fans hate them precisely because of that.

Hate is a strong word, wouldn't you say? While I usually don't agree with Jerry Jone's football deciscions, his marketing strategies cannot be disputed as anything but pure genius! I didn't make it up, and it's not just Cowboys fans that use the term. Sorry for offending you.

It looks like you may be overruled by the majority. Maybe that SuperBowl-idea will catch on some day.

Context matters. I do not literally hate Dallas or their fans. I "hate" it just like I hate it when a friend uses filler words "like you know", or chews with their mouth open. But no, I am not a dumb jock fan who wants to get into a bar fight. I hate it in an annoying context, not a literal one.

The worst you would get from me if you are a Dallas fan and we are at a bar and Dallas wins, would be a hand under the chin wave like Curly from the Three Stooges. And if we lose that bad I'd be spending more time yelling a the tv making jokes about how bad we suck.

I am most certainly a Dallas fan, but I assure you, I am one of the most reasonable ones you'll meet. I have realistic expectaions for them (Low Ones) each year, based on evidence. Keep in mind, being rational is something I cherish in ALL aspects of life. Football too.

Ok MR, me you October 13th!

As an aside, I did like Landry as a coach, hated playing him cause he was that good. But the one thing I always thought was funny about him, he could be losing really bad, as if someone murdered his family, and he'd always remain calm, and would be as if saying "Hum, they killed my family, guess I'll have to call 9-1-1"

I don't know how old you are, but the ONLY time I ever saw Landry get upset was when the Redskins were playing Dallas in a playoff game, Dallas had the ball 4th and 1, Danny White called an audible, the camera shifted to Landry and you could read his lips shouting "NO NO NO SHIT!", White handed the ball to Dorset, got stuffed and the Redskins won.
