Saying Jesus catered for psychopaths is like saying Gandhi or someone catered for psychopaths. It caters for pacifists not psychopaths. But much of what you see in terms of modern Christian fundamentalism is a reaction against you. You're the one helping grow it not the moderates.

Well that's the idea. You see, by being an atheist, I'm rejecting all gods, so that means I'm growing the fundamentalists equally and they'll all kill each other off before they come after me because claiming someone else is god is more offensive than saying their gods aren't real. Great job encouraging the muslim fundamentalists by being a christian. Not very smart, but great job. RE: Religious moderates enable religious extremists

Not literal supernatural gods in this case of course but they don't have to be. You're getting a first rate Biblical education here, all the essential facts. Quote:, so that means I'm growing the fundamentalists equally and they'll all kill each other off before they come after me because claiming someone else is god is more offensive than saying their gods aren't real. That's not really the deal with Christian fundamentalism these days, they will just deny evolution ever happened or that the Earth is 6000 years old or campaign against the wickedness of homosexuality. Islamic fundamentalism still has bit more of the business about it, though I think the Quran may support it a little more than the Bible does, at least the New Testament. Even the violence of the Old Testament was directed at pagan people living in the land of Israel 3000 years ago or Jews that worked on the Sabbath day and whatever. But if you're looking for a passage that says "kill the unbelievers" then it's in the Quran somewhere. It does contradict the parts that say everyone should be free to believe what they choose though. Quote:Great job encouraging the muslim fundamentalists by being a christian. Not very smart, but great job. They may not like Christianity but you can be sure they they dislike atheism a thousand times more. http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Qur'an,_Hadith...s:Atheists

It's so obviously sarcastic. And no rejecting all gods doesn't give me a lot of gods, that's stupid. And you're still encouraging the muslim fundamentalists, along with the atheists i guess, great for you. Btw, when the qur'an says unbelievers/nonbelievers, quite sure you're included in that pile. Muslim countries prosecute people of other religions too. In fact where I come from unless you're exmuslim, atheism doesn't get you in any trouble. Bit of Timothy Keller here. But with God you see you no longer have these as gods and so if these go wrong for you you can just like throughly chilled, relaxin all cool. You see what I'm saying here? It doesn't mean that won't be slightly annoyed if you balls up but it's not the end of the world you've got the rest of eternity here. Quote:And you're still encouraging the muslim fundamentalists, along with the atheists i guess, great for you. I think it's more a political ideology that's pumping them up. They would like Islamic states and Sharia for all, people like yourself shot and Christians or whoever converted to the true God of Allah with Mohammed as his prophet. Or you you would have to pay the Jizya at any rate. Not that all Muslims would support that.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

Thinly-veiled threat noted. I guess that means that we should all start being devout Muslims so fundamentalist Muslim terrorists won't attack us any more? Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
