Score (yet another) one for science!
October 7, 2013 at 11:42 am
Using the Kepler and Spitzer space telescopes Nasa astronomers have managed to compile a
map of cloud formations on the planet Kepler-7b - some 1000-1400 lightyears distant, in the constellation Lyra.
Quote:"By observing this planet with Spitzer and Kepler for more than three years, we were able to produce a very low-resolution 'map' of this giant, gaseous planet," study lead author Brice-Olivier Demory, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said in a statement. "We wouldn't expect to see oceans or continents on this type of world, but we detected a clear, reflective signature that we interpreted as clouds."
Bizzarely enough, there's been no sign yet of anything with a face and a beard.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

They just haven't been looking in the right places to find Heaven.

Maybe he's shaved it off since he last appeared. I'm sure if you stare long enough into those clouds you'll see Jesus.

Sorry Stimbo but none of those clouds look like Jesus so you have no evidence.

Why is that patch in the lower middle more pixelated than the rest?

It does look suspiciously similar to the forbidden planet Talos IV from the remastered original Star Trek:
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
