Dogs are people too?

Dogs are people too?
According to neuroscientist Gregory Berns of Emory University that is what 2 years of MRIs on dogs shows. He says his research indicates our furry companions "have the same capacity to experience emotions, such as love and attachment, as humans." Something many of us could have told him without wasting time doing MRIs.

Yep. Seems like a waste of research dollars.

Maybe, somehow, somewhere........ in a galaxy far far away.......
this research might serve a purpose.

I'd still be happier if we killed all of those disgusting creatures.

I'm a cat person. Some people feel the same way about cats.
That's fine - my cat enriches my life. Dogs are pretty cool too.

Living beings experience emotions you say? Well that's some cutting edge science right there. Incredible you wouldn't have thought.

But I wouldn't limit it to dogs, every thing with a nervous system falls into the category.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Anything with a soul more like animals aren't machines and neither are we. Though yes obviously consciousness and intelligence has something to do with the physical brain, at least when it's in the form we can normally see/interact with.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.
