You're an atheist born of ignorance rather than conviction. Whether that's better or worse I'm not sure.

Who is "you"? You could only be an atheist from ignorance if you were isolated from the rest of society. That would actually be an interesting experiment, you'd have to set up an artificial place, where no god would ever be mentioned, and raise a child there, and see if he or she ever thought of god. That would take a long time and wouldn't be ethical, and a lot of people would need to be involved, especially to get scientifically valid results. But I never said I was a scientist.
