Not at all. I read a very interesting article recently: (My internet is being frustratingly slow... You can find it http://discover.coverleaf.com/discoverma...00910?pg=7 probably. It is called 'The Empathy Instinct', and it is written by primatologist named Frans de Wall) I have the article right in front of me (page 54 in this October's Discover magazine)... and I'll make sure I get a better link later this weekend if this one proves to be a dud or if you don't want to click more than one button. Either way, it is definitely a worthwhile read about empathy and its origins.

Anyway... I don't even like the sugar high one gets from soda... why would I want a high like one would get from 'drugs'?

Come on, comparing trying a drug in a controlled environment when you know with a huge degree of certainty that nothing will go wrong with an incident likely to result in death? That's retarded Smile

RE: Pot smoker?
When I went to high school it seems if you wanted any kind of drug and had the cash you could get it. It wasn't difficult to find someone who was dealing something. In fact the idea was if you didn't drink of do drugs, at least sometimes, you weren't considered 'cool'. I guess times have changed.
Saerules good for you in you decision not to drink or do drugs. Concentrate on you education before you inebriate yourself.
My husband doesn't drink, but he used to. I, on the other hand, drink 2 glasses of wine almost every nightSmile I can't help it. I like the stuffBig Grin My son has suffered first hand of the devastating results of a drug addict because his vessel is a heroin addict, and also a piece of shit, not because of heroin, but just because she's a piece of shit. Heroin just made her more of a piece of shit.
I guess what I'm trying to say is stay off drugs and stay in schoolSmile

RE: Pot smoker?
So was the link alright? Smile

Well, I don't know wether i will like it or not... I don't even know my reaction to it... until I have tried it or have seen someone else under it's effect Smile So I can't now the following: that I'm not allergic to it, that I am safe from danger of death by trying it, or even how it will effect me. I can't even know that it is pure <insert drug name here> what with seller dishonesty on the 'black market' Smile And the 'black market' is a dangerous business... Undecided

I may eventually try a drug or two later in life... but it should be noted that while those around me might be enjoying getting high or drunk... I don't ever enjoy being around them while they are so. I also don't see why I would need to experiment with drugs myself, when I can simply observe anothers' response to drug use. Smile

You can get any kind of drug... and you don't even need money to get them. I can actually name several people that trade their bodies for drugs. Also... people like the one who tried to sell me drugs today steal from their parent's stashes... and then sell them for money out in the street. (This is actually one of the reasons behind my saying that people on drugs shouldn't be having kids, although there are several others)

I'm actually fairly alarmed that someone tried to sell me drugs... and not just any someone... a 9th grader... talking in a low voice... as all of the adults shuffle in to begin the school day! I left school ASAP today for reasons you really don't want to know... and I still haven't gotten over it... a NINTH grader... who for some reason told me that he wasn't going to sell that bag of cocaine in school, unless he got a really good buyer... because he can make more later today by selling it in town...

A ninth grader is going to be dealing drugs in town today...... I am actually kind of disgusted and very disappointed at the prospect that I can't do anything to turn that situation around. Undecided I think I've been suppressing that statement all day Undecided

Is that a girlfriend or wife or mate or what? Hehe, I appreciate your message your message Binny... but I'll be out of this school ASAP Smile I intend to start Russian, French, and advanced English courses at the local collage this spring semester... and I absolutely can't wait to have Vissenburg as my Russian teacher again ^_^

RE: Pot smoker?
Possibility of misinterpretation Smile I understood that there was a possibility for adoption, godmothering, etc. I wanted an explanation before I made my conclusion Smile

RE: Pot smoker?
So your question should have been: "Ah, so you were not referencing yourself with that?"
