No man with a sense of humour ever founded a religion

So I guess this isn't the place for "A priest and a rabbi walk into a bar..." jokes?
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Did anyone else see the documentary by Alexandra Pelosi "Friends of God"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friends_of_...dra_Pelosi

It shows how evangelicals have formed a parallel society which is seperate to the rest of america and simply produces it`s own "pure" versions of segments of society.

Anyway. Half way through one encounters a "christian comedian" making such hillarious jokes like:

"My family and I went to swimm at the lake,.... Jesus walks on the water"

"I am a christian comedian, which means that if you dont laught at my jokes, you go to hell."

The best thing about the scenes with this guy is that you see how the "laughter" of the christian audience is forced onto their faces and vocal cords and that not a single bit of the "amused" reception is in anyway sincere.

I guess christians know that they are not funny.

Christianity is to humor as the smell of rotten fish is to libido.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

You're paying too much for your hookers, then.

There are things you can do about that.

If it smells like that - don't eat it. Some things are better learned the easy way.
