No, I'm not claiming victimization or anything like that.  But you claimed I said something which I did not in another thread.  Since it would have been easy enough to check (and you clearly failed to do so), it constitutes a willful lie on your part.

I would think that a mature adult would know what to say and do without being told.  But if you'd rather persist in you childish, name-calling behaviour, so be it.

This was the initial comment by you post #113 page 12 that started this.

Quote:Quote You QUOTE BORU You do understand that the title of the thread is 'Great Poetry', not 'Poetry Of Such Staggering Mediocrity That Anyone Should Be Ashamed To Claim It As Their Own', right?

^^^^^^ Sounds pretty childish to me.

Just like a theist. You posted that thinking it would be "cold water" on my face as if I would, like a lost puppy say, "Golly Gee Wally, thanks for saving me, what would I do without you?" Falsely assuming I didn't know what I was doing.

I know what I am doing, and I don't need your advice on how to write. You didn't like it, so what. If anyone needs to grow up, you do.

Post #114.  Otherwise, guilty as charged.

Quote:^^^^^^ Sounds pretty childish to me.

Calling your poetry 'mediocre' is childish?  Ok, if it makes you happy to say so.

Quote:Just like a theist. You posted that thinking it would be "cold water" on my face as if I would, like a lost puppy say, "Golly Gee Wally, thanks for saving me, what would I do without you?"

Don't be so sensitive.  You're reading stuff into my comment that wasn't there.  I posted it thinking that YOU'D think I found your poetry mediocre.

Quote: Falsely assuming I didn't know what I was doing.

I didn't assume that at all.

Quote:I know what I am doing,

I never said that you don't know what you're doing, just that you're not very good at it.

Quote:and I don't need your advice on how to write.

Good thing I never offered any such advice, innit?  What's more, rest assured that I have no plans to offer you such advice at any time in the future.

Quote:You didn't like it, so what.

If it's really 'so what' to you, why do you keep replying?  Don't be so thin-skinned.  So I don't like your poetry. Big deal.

Quote:If anyone needs to grow up, you do.

Hard to disagree with that one.

HOLY CRAP DUDE, I am not thin skinned dumbass.

Lets make this clear, "You didn't like it" you thought the poem you initially  reacted to was crap. We both agree that is what you thought.

What is insulting isn't that you didn't like it. What is insulting, is you think I give a shit or don't know what I am doing.

If you said right now, "Trump could write better poetry than you." I could care less. What pissed me off isn't that you didn't like it. What pissed me off is the same damned thing every time in the past 30 years I run into comments like this.

Make you a deal, if I ever want your advice on how to write poetry, I'll ask for it.

I have been there and done that with plenty of others. You are not the first and unfortunately you wont be the last.

1. I know exactly what I am doing every time I write a poem.

2. I don't need your advice. If I wanted it, I would ask for it.

Of course you pissed me off dumbass, but not because you thought it sucked. It pissed me off because I get tired of running into the same shit.

You are like Bart Simpson pestering Homer in the back of the car, "Are we there yet?"

Tell me again what "Skene or Parakatoi" mean or what "hot blood" is in reference to in "Enigma" i just posted privious page in in this thread?  And I am sure you know what "free verse" means too. Then after you look that up tell me the meaning of my poem "Enigma" means.

Agree to disagree.

Well, it's all of your poems (at least the ones on this forum), but OK.

I've already said that I think you DO know what you're doing.

I can hardly be held responsible for 30 years of bad poetry reviews.

But I'm not giving you advice on how to write poetry.  I never have and I never will.

See above.

If you run into that many people who don't like your poetry, it should tell you something.

I'm not going to do that, because -as I've said - I just don't care enough.

HA HA HA HA HA...... Your cute and funny, thank you for proving my point.

You don't care, but you keep responding.

Lord Fortenbrath, if I mayith sum up your argument for thee....

Boru " You suck, you are not good at it."

Me, " Thou hast mistaken me for someone who gives a fucktith".

For your information "Skene is Greek for hut or building where actors would change their costumes and masks" later to be translated into the modern word "scene".

Parakatoi is greek for triangular displays that were swiveled on stage to allow for change of scenery between acts. Each side had different artwork to display the surroundings each act was implied in in the script.

"Hot blood" is from Hamlet.

The meaning of "Enigma" is that not everything in life has to be dog whistle art.

Now, if you didn't get such a simple poem, that says to me you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

Clearly, thou givest a fuck, since thou hast replied as much as I.

The difference being, I reply because you keep making false accusations about me and you reply because you can't stand the notion that someone might not like what you write.

I knew what 'skene' meant, just wasn't sure how it fit your dog turd of a poem.  There's no such word as 'parakatoi'.  You meant 'periaktoi'.

Thank you.

What false accusations? I didn't start this shit you did.

You basically told me I sucked, and got pissed when I said I didn't give a fuck. I think that pretty much sums it up.

And I will correct my spelling, thank you for pointing that out.

Unfortunately time constraints wont let me go back and correct that misspelling.

And sorry, judging by your first response in saying you didn't care what those references meant, you did exactly what I expected. Looked them up after  I challenged you then pretended to know what they were, irregardless of spelling. I am sure you looked "pariaktoi" otherwise you wouldn't have corrected it.
Not a word very many laypeople know. I am sure you have always been able to spell that word off the top of your head considering how common the average beer belly NFL fan uses it. I at least knew what it meant even if I didn't spell it correctly initially.

Quote:What false accusations?

1.  You said I was giving you advice about how to write poetry.  I've never done that.

2.  You said (different thread) that I insist on referring to economists as 'experts'.  I didn't.

3.  You said I think you don't know what you're doing, even though I corrected you and TWICE said that I think you DO know what you're doing.

4.  You've repeatedly called me names ('moron', 'dumbass', 'stupid') for doing nothing more than disagreeing with you.

5.  You continually put words in my mouth, by accusing me of making assumptions I never made.
