Terrifying?
Do you mean stepping off into a space you are not totally sure of? People do that every day just for kicks. Try skydiving, mountain climbing.....
How is my experience different than a science experiment?
I did this - I got that. Real science, not the pseudo stuff.
Or, do you mean pondering the exit of this place?
A place where, according to your own view has no meaning, and life itself is useless.
Are you using some standard that you yourself disavow by your own philosophy?

I suppose the suicidal thoughts were only part of what was terrifying. The apparently wide open shopping for and trying on of belief systems is also a little disturbing. Then the manner in which your dreams led you back to Christianity. But for me what's most disturbing is the mystery of how you could decide the bible is an instruction manual and the arbiter of what is correct in your prayer/reflection. It is like, not knowing what to think for yourself, you just decided to give all authority over to this old book.

Jazzy, just watch the beginning, he goes into so much stuff after that. But I would also like your take on the dinosaur part noted in my first post. I would rather not try to give you the gist of it in case I goof up on wordage.

Whatever, you go to a buffet for dinner. Lets say you go to a HUGE buffet. Do you say "Only some of this stuff is what I will like"?
Or do you say, Hmmm. "Let's check this out"?
Maybe my illustration doesn't fit very well, but my attitude was - SOMETHING here must be right.
Part 2- It was after I made the leap (I compared it to getting out on a limb, grabbing a saw, and buzzing off the part between me and the tree)- I found to my huge relief, that I did not fall and further study led me to consider that book as I now do.
Part 3- Now, I did pray after a pattern and I appreciate it being there, but now, not so. Prayer is talk.
