If ever I'm lost I usually follow someone who looks as if they know where they are going. Even if I end up somewhere I didn't want to be it's often somewhere I enjoy being and find useful.

I find your idiosyncratic nature quite interesting Darwinian.
Idiosyncrasy is good in my book. (There are exceptions of course, but then there are exceptions for pretty much everything I reckon).

Come to think of it, I get lost really easy in towns and cities so that probably has more to do with why I ask for directions than any sensibility on my part. I am very directionally challenged. I now have a TomTom and never get lost unless it is extremely overcast. I love my TomTom.
