Can't stand truth can you.

Rm Wrote:Trying to prove something doesn't exist and claiming it doesn't exist are two different things. Making the claim would come after the proof. And since there isn't any proof that god doesn't exist, we make no claim that he doesn't

Do you know how stupid that sounds, really. Why would anyone try and disprove God if they did not claim He doesn't exist. I say He does and try to show people He does, but you say you do not know if He exists and then you try to prove He doesn't. You have some serious trouble going on in your head.

Rm Wrote:If you follow your own logic here, you must believe in bigfoot and the lochness monster too. In fact, anything that hasn't been disproved. You find yourself in the ridiculous situation of believing every claim unless it is proven wrong. Unless of course you are a gigantic hypocrite and only apply this kind of thinking to your god.
So which is it? You believe every claim unless proven wrong, or you are a hypocrite.

You expect me to play your childish games really, your worse off than I thought, better tell someone before you get lost.
Yep, I for one have a big foot, and I can put it in places that are unpleasant.

Rm Wrote:Here's a good example for you:
Me: I have a real unicorn living in my shed

You: No you don't

Me: You can't prove that I don't

You: OK, I believe you, you must really have a real unicorn in your shed!
If you can't see how ridiculous that is, I worry for the future of the human race

(November 15, 2013 at 2:02 pm)Godschild Wrote: Yes I see how ridiculous your example is and with that kind of thinking from you and yours we all should worry about the future. All I have to do is look in your shed.

Rm Wrote:Ah but you wouldn't see anything, my unicorn is invisible you see. Now what?

You just moved the goalpost that's what. If it's invisible the how do you know it's real or in your shed?

It's not a game, GC: the burden of proof forms the cornerstone of existential discussions and hence the discussions that take place on this forum. If you're unwilling to even consider such things, then you're essentially unwilling to participate in discussion at all. That puts you in the same category of trolls, like Savedbygracethrufaith, and what happened to her?

To be honest, your manner lately has been completely childish and content free; when you post, you post nothing of any detail beyond bare assertions and vague scriptural threats, along with insults. In small doses that's fine, even what we've come to expect from you, but by making that your go to tactic as you have over the past several weeks, you're engaging in exactly the kind of behavior that has gotten others banned. The more you keep this up, the more hostility you'll accrue; if you think this kind of tactic is going to keep you here, you're wrong.

What do you even get out of this? Why do you come here, if all you're going to do is flatly refuse to engage with the questions we ask, or the issues we discuss? That's like going to a restaurant, not ordering anything, bitching about the food, and expecting to stay until closing time. It's pathetic.

He has personal experiences with it.

Are you legitimately kidding me right now?

Quote:Actually I say I do not care about big foot, I have what I know is the truth of life, you on the other hand have nothing more than pathetic grumblings that only interest the simple minded.

And all the delusional people around the world think they have the truth of life, and all those belonging to other religions think the same. How do we tell the difference?

That's the thing: truth is demonstrated, not simply asserted. You can claim to have the truth as much as you like, but the only way to differentiate yourself from the madman in the asylum is to show evidence.

You threatening me Exlax, you running this forum now, if you think you can push me around you're sadly mistaken little boy. This whole thing has been one big game to you, if you can't win you cry like a baby, get that thumb out of your mouth and act like a man.

Au contraire, GC: I wasn't threatening you. I was attempting to warn you away from this current course of action, because, believe it or not, I actually don't want to see you banned. Why? Because at one time, you were fun to argue with, in a way. Your case wasn't any more compelling than it is now, but at least you were willing to defend it, and did so in some ways.

However, this? What you're doing now? It's pathetic, and it will lead to reports if it remains your standard style of response. So stop: I don't know what's up with you lately, but I think even you can see, if you step back and look at your recent postings, that this isn't the way to defend your faith.

You really have no idea how scientific investigations are carried out do you? Here is an example:
I want to investigate whether the scottish wildcat is spreading to parts of northern england. I come up with a prediction that they have not for various complicated reasons that I won't explain now. I then go up to northern england to investigate.
You will notice at no point here did I claim that scottish wildcats have not spread their territory to northern england.
This is exactly the same way we would test for god.

Yep, I for one have a big foot, and I can put it in places that are unpleasant.

Your refusal to answer a simple question really does speak volumes more about you than any answer you could have given. I think you are slowly realising that you are a hypocrite, i think logic is worming its way into your brain. But we can't have that! Quick get back to church and pray you stay ignorant for a while longer. Read your bible and relax as your brain slowly returns to the vapid state it was in before your encounter with logic.

I know the unicorn is real because he talks to me and tells me things that only he could know. Also whenever something happens in my life that I can't explain, i always figure out it was actually my unicorn that caused it.

Funny isn't it? How i can replace the word 'unicorn' with 'god' and its exactly the same as christianity. Weird huh!

And once again, your refusal to answer simple questions and engage in a hypothetical situation to try and prove my point, implies that you kind of understand why you are a hypocrite and wrong. If not, well then, answer the questions.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom
