The West should have taken out the Islamic regime in Iran long ago. Instead we have turned our backs on Israel & are making "deals" with fascists.

The West and the current administration governing the U.S. have lost their backbones to be perceived as anything else but weak and cowardly by Islamic regimes like Iran. Negotiating from a position of strength and resolve is the only way to deal with oppressive tyrants like Iran. On the other hand, Israel and our other Mid-East allies must also be perceiving us the same way, weak and unreliable. I would guess that sooner or later Israel will have to act on its own and take some kind of preliminary action to defend itself from an Iranian nuclear threat.

You seem pretty sure of this. And the fact that things like this have been going on in Iraq (in between the Gulf Wars), Cuba, and North Korea for years to diametrically opposite outcomes than you expect doesn't change anything in your mind?

I think that for the sake of peace in that region, and also for the sake of world peace, it would be irresponsible and fool-hearted not to take action to keep nukes and sophisticated delivery systems out of the hands of aggressive despot nations like Iran...
