I don't get why muslims are so hung over arabic...

I heard an exmuslim on the atheist experience say that it's because the qur'an is written in ancient arabic which no one really understands, so they can't translate it, so to truly get it you have to know arabic but even if you do you won't understand it.

Sounds like a big mess to say "we're not sure what it means, but we do know it's the word of god, so it must the conveyed trust-worthily"... the ancient arabic version of the word of god... god couldn't convey its message in chinese? or greek? those languages haven't evolved that much since ancient times... those would have been far more suitable to impart the wisdom upon humanity...
Oh well, just another god blunder for y'all...

The Hadith were created by a bunch of Waco sexually deviant camel monkeys who wanted to translate the Quran in their own words and control women around them. It was basically mid evil politics mixed with whatever they thought can control the population and induce order.

Just like Christianity was harsh on women many years ago, Islam will be altered many years from now once women start demanding their rights.

In ancient times, astronomers noted how certain lights moved across the sky in relation to the other stars. Ancient Greeks called these lights πλάνητες ἀστέρες (planetes asteres, "wandering stars") or simply πλανῆται (planētai, "wanderers"),[12] from which today's word "planet" was derived.

So.. planets were mistaken for stars. The sun was the sun... not really a star.
