Quite the opposite, even tourists in fairly standard western clothes are assaulted by mobs on the grounds of "dressing provocatively". A fairly well known singer actually had crowds of men trying to climb the outside of her hotel in an attempt to rape her after a concert in Cairo a couple of years back.
Statistics tend to show a decrease in the number of reported rapes in Sharia states, but given that Sharia views it as adultery with the punishment of stoning to death I'm not convinced the stats are a true reflection.
My own hypothesis is that the lack of exposure to the female form reduces men to tourists essentially and incapable of behaving with restraint when females are seen.

Men are hardwired to bang as many women as possible, as often as possible, so I can understand why a male dominated society would consider the female body evil, but there are men across the world that have learns to be around women while having restraint. It just speaks volumes when a woman can go to one country and be considered dressing provocatively, and another where she's considered dressing conservatively, while wearing the same outfit.
Obviously in America there's nothing wrong with how the lady in the video is dressed. You can see her face, upper arms, and lower legs. She's not even showing cleavage, or wearing a skimpy skirt. But if she went to a muslim town, she might as well be wearing a bikini.

Drop one of these muslim dude in Papua new guinea, women there don't even wear shirts.

I always found it funny that some people will just cover the nipple, as if that alone is what's so attractive. I got a woman to show me her tits once, and didn't even remember what her tits looked like when one of the guys asked me later.

I am to understand that here in Oz if you go into a place of business you are required to expose your face. With all the CCTV footage covering towncentres it is also preferable to expose your face for identification purposes. This includes hoodies, balaclavas, motorcycle helmets and (in the case of an actual business such as banks or convenience stores) your sunglasses (since you are not out in the sun). Why should the niqab (a cultural rather than religious garment) get preferrential treatment?
The fact the these pieces of clothing and PPE have been used to commit crimes makes it awkward to allow the niqab.

It is essentially what's normal when you grow up.
I grew up in a women's clothes shop so seeing women in their underwear was normal for me. The notion of underwear being sexy is actually quite alien, whilst the media would have us believe that we are all reduced to drooling simpletons by seeing bras and knickers hanging on a washing line.
Indeed if you go to the "sexy" underwear that is marketed as such my usual opinion is that the cloth and stitching is usually substandard and ridiculously overpriced. (Though of course I buy my clothes at wholesale)

I'm agree about the banning veils and whereat niqabs for face recognition.
The burqa is unnatural.

I have a problem with Burqas for the same reason I have a problem with sunglasses: I find it awkward trying to communicate with someone with all or parts of their face covered so I cannot see their expressions.
Should it be banned? HELL NO. People should be allowed to wear what they want. Forcing women to wear them (or anything for that matter) should be banned, because that is infringing on another person's rights.
