The point is, EVERY legitimate historical source agrees that the reason Hitler came to power was mostly because of war reparations. Sure, forcing them into a democratic system they weren't that into contributed, but that's like saying cow fars contribute to global warming; it's just a drop in the bucket compared to the real problem.
Here's the kicker, though: Germany now is a great country. They have a top notch health care system, they have a great economy with a strong middle class, they have wonderful techology and they even have the inferstructure to keep this up. Sure, they have a military, but it's a small military, that they keep around for defense. In case you hadn't noticed, Germany hasn't really attacked anyone since WWII. But the worrisome part is that, if we were to "occupy" them, we would have to do so with a military force. Remember those technological advancements they have? Those include the ability to build nuclear weapons. I can damn near guarantee, if Isreal (or anyone else) made a serious attempt to occupy Germany, their nation would turn into a giant, smoking, glowing-green crater.

Now you are being a German-nationalist. Simply to say that Germany is a great country is to belittle the holocaust.
When the revolution comes Germany must be the first nation to be abolished!
