take shinto for example that is really only culturally relevant to the japanese. And then your taking other philosophies and world views out of their cultural context and making wicca.

I'm just trying to figure out why you came on to this thread to begin with - if it was just to say "Wicca is stupid" then I wanted to know why it's more or less stupid than any other religion. And if it is stupid, why pick one of its permutations and practice it - wouldn't the overheading "Wicca" make all its subheadings stupid as well?
