The thing about us choosing is that there isn't concrete evidence for any gods, and we had a lot to choose from throughout history. The angels presumably knew exactly who the boss was, and how powerful he was.

It starts with faith, not evidence. The angels are very powerful beings and Lucifer above all, I guess he was able to convince them they could over power God, I sure they see they got on the wrong side of this thing. Doesn't mean we have to be.

Sure, anything can start with faith. Like that guy that comes down my chimney every year to bring presents. Unfortunately without hard evidence, the only reason anyone would remain in the faith is through isolation or force.

To me, the fact that a bunch of people enjoying what should be utter happiness can be convinced that someone could be better than the current boss means the current boss must be flawed. We can see how flawed his views are in everything we disagree with in the bible. You could say he works in mysterious ways, and we just have to have faith that these awful things have a good purpose, but I'm going to need a good explanation other than "because I'll beat your ass if you don't get back in line", like my dad likes to say.

Big difference, angels have proof of god and see him everyday. I have never seen proof of god, and you didnt answer the initial contention.

In all honesty, I was skeptical about the existence of demons (and angels) even when I was religious.
