In all honesty, do you think it would have worked out in the end?
Mind you, you can make it work. My dad is an atheist and my mother is a Christian, but they'd have probably been happier had they shared the same values.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Atheists and christians share the same value set, our values don't suddenly change upon acceptance of a silly story. Christians are just really gullible morons who refuse to let go of cherished misconceptions.

I say. I have some christian friends, of the non-fundamentalist variety, and there is minimal difference in values. Considering that there are strict pro-life atheists, I'd say as usual, the variation within the groups is greater than the difference. I have even most values in common with my fundamentalists.
