If what happened to the American Indians doesn't qualify as a genocide, I don't think you can accuse the Germans of genocide, either. I mean, we killed a much larger percentage of the Native population than Hitler did the Jewish population, not to mention we damn near completely eradicated their culture while Jewish culture is still going strong.

If what happened to the American Indians doesn't qualify as a genocide, I don't think you can accuse the Germans of genocide, either. I am not a German! I am pure British & Irish, not something I'm particularly proud of, but at least I am not a German.

However I do see the situation as nothing more than what I just said. We too, had to resort to doing the same thing while establishing our own Lebensraum throughout Eurasia.
However it was a lot more harder since we had to deal with enemies that were on more or less the same technological level.

Actually, I don't think that the Native Americans and Jews should be compared to eachother. The Jews were very much like the early American settlers. At an initial disadvantage, due to their lack of knowledge of the strange land, its ways, and its native peoples.
Both have had hostile relations with the natives of the land, but later on gained the upper hand by adapting to their ways.
The settlers in America won, they drove out the Natives out of their lands, and flourished beyond what the pioneers would not even dream.
The Jews in Germany lost, being driven out by the natives.

The real difference was in that the European settlers and Jews used different weapons to accomplish their goals.
