Want to brag about something?

Want to brag about something?
CAUSE I DO!!! Big Grin

My Moment of Awesome today was running my training hill from bottom to top non-stop; a gain of about 350 feet! It makes my previous training hill look like a speed bump...

I usually crap out and walk the last quarter/third of it, but today I ran the whole way up! I felt like I was going to die when I got to the top but when I turned and ran down it about five minutes later I couldn't keep the grin off my face: "I ran this fucker, and I'm gonna do it again next week!!!"

Anyone else have a Moment of Awesome they want to share? I can't be the only one!

I won a darts tournament about five weeks ago. I scored six ton 80s in a row, roughly the equivalent of a perfect game in bowling.

I didn't know darts tournaments were a thing...

but I probably shouldn't be surprised because Scrabble tournaments are a thing. Congrats!

In other news, my ass is killing me from running that hill yesterday, so I guess I got a Moment of Ow to go with my Moment of Awesome... Tongue

Oh, yeah. I think in darts, they even have promotion and relegation, like in footy.

Just got this from my brother...who is even older than I am.

Quote:Subject: EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 60

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty
of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend
your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long
as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags . Then try 50-lb
potato bags and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb
potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than
a full minute. (I'm at this level).

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

I ran once. Not very far but I ran nonetheless.

I found out this morning that I passed the course in logistics that I´ve been taking last semester.

Might not sound that impressive, but it has been pretty tough to handle both working full-time and studying on nights and weekends. Add to the fact that it has been more than 10 years since I last did any studying and I feel I can be somewhat proud of myself Big Grin.

It's not unimpressive, one of the hardest thing to do is to persevere through a period of hardship. Anyone can deal with a crisis, it's the perseverance that is tough.
