So a lot of women my age refer to each other affectionately as "bitch" and I'm not sure why but it rubs me the wrong way. Your thoughts?

In my experience if another guy doesn't use an insult to greet me then I probably don't know the guy well. To me its just a sign that the other person is close enough that they know you trust them not to actually mean the insult. For guys its almost like a hug.. but not because hugs aren't manly. Although you can hug if you throw a couple of insults immediately before or after.
I don't know why they do that... it makes them look stupid if you ask me.

Its highly improper for people to use such words when referring to eachother. In my opinion its a sign of a lack of quality between the relation of the two people, male or female, does not matter. Whosoever wishes to adress to me, should do this with my proper name, or rank, for that matter. Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti?
I don't normally like to be greeted with something that's generally an insult, but there was this one guy I kind of liked that enjoyed doing it to people he knew. He would call me beesh, which of course is just a funny way of saying bitch. I would just call him beefy beesh since he was fatter than me.
Probably the most common thing I've encountered is when people younger than me would call me boy, since they were tougher or more successful than me. Then again I've also seen older people call their younger boss sir, so I guess it's just a reverse of that.

I've never been one of those people. I don't understand it as well.
Shit when I'm at work that's like the only way anyone refers to each other.
Actually now that I think about it, I only call the people I like "bad names." I'll call the people I'm closer to asshole, dick, bitch, Fuckup. But the people I don't really like or are older I'll call by their real names. To me it's a case by base thing. Different groups have different ways of showing camaraderie. |
