At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Do you think the outcome of the debate will be affected by who goes first? Isn't the affirmative position first to go? So Ham would go first and Nye would get the last word, right?

No, wait, that would make sense, so that can't be right...

Irrelevant. Ham's degree doesn't make his lies true. Nye's lack of degree doesn't make what he says about science false.

Science is about what you can prove, not about what degrees you have. I know I've told you this before.

I think whoever goes last will have an advantage. I've seen many religious people slip in new arguments in their conclusions. You can bet the audience will take it seriously, considering the scientific literacy you can expect from such an audience.

In terms of scientific qualifications, Ham is as qualified as any pastry chef.

Oh stop it; if Nye was the one with this degree you’d never say something like this. Your claim is not accurate at all. Applied science degrees are still science degrees. There are degrees in Applied Biology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry and so forth. They merely work in the field rather than the lab. He’s more scientifically educated than someone with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and that’s my point.

Given your last post….yes…I could see you being serious.

Depends on what the interrogative is; I have not seen what it is yet. I also just listened to a debate today where the negative actually went first and last so we’ll have to see.

Where did I say any of this? I just thought it was funny that you were blabbering on about science but the only one in this debate who has an actual science education is the creationist. Funny old world isn’t it?

Science deals with induction, math and logic deal with proof. I realize I have told you this before…

I see there is no cross examination phase in this debate...that's too bad. I prefer debates thatare heavy on that phase.

The degree to which Ken Ham is educated is questionable. Lolz.

Given that Ham seems to be running the show I have a hard time not thinking he would have engineered a way for himself to get the last word.

Course I would, if it was relevant.

Ah well, just shows more about you than me. Just one more example of someone thinking something untrue and projecting it onto another.
