The redneck strike again.

Deep is best.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Wow .. you did it again.
what is even going on now whatevs. I feel confuzzled

The awareness is purely subjective so where and what God is has to be a belief. There's a remote possibility that it's a correct belief because your concept of God isn't one that's been disproved as yet. On the other hand, your interpretation of the subjective God experience could be wrong. Suppose you love your man. Now i ask you to prove to me that your love for him is real. Gimmah..... the evidence Ape i ask. Can you transfer into my consciousness the love that you feel for him? Can you? Quote:I think her experience shows how the brain is involved. Maybe Ramachandran is right about the possibility of humans having a God antenna but that's not something that can be proved. Physical science and intuitional science are two different things. In between there is a border. Once you cross that border you can better understand what there is on the other side. So far physical science still stick to the physical side of the human being so it is quite natural that theories don't get very far. Quote:The theory part is simply an explanation and labels for what's going on in the unconscious. When you make posts about yoga you're talking about the theory behind it and using labels like pineal gland and kundalini. Jungian psychology, like yoga, has to be applied which means getting inside the car and driving. All very good Ape. I am not saying that you are wrong. I am only saying that without practice is all futile. Now how do you apply Jungian theory by turning theory into practice? Quote:Why is God just a Him? If God is everywhere and in everything it will be Her and It as well. For ages and ages to describe men and women people say.....Man. That doesn't sound very good to women but that is the way it goes. I didn't invent it so don't blame me. The same thing goes for God. People say Him even if God does not have sex. You are correct in pointing out that but again it is a way to express an idea. RE: The redneck strike again.

Quote:This experience reflects a certain level of intuition. As one learns to meditate deeply, access to subtler layers of the mind becomes increasingly common. Most of the time we are only aware of the mundane layers of the mind, the layers in which we think and interact with the world. The subtler layers of the mind, however, are associated with universal knowledge. The bolded bit is very Jungian - the only difference here is that I interpret 'universal knowledge' as being from what Jung called the Collective Unconscious - this is the layer of the mind which is the same in all humans. It's our biological programming for being human which includes instincts shared by other animals. (August 4, 2014 at 11:57 am)Riketto Wrote: All very good Ape. One technique is dream interpretation for dreams which 'feel' important. When Apollo turned up in one of my dreams he had an awesome presence and I knew in the dream that he was a god. I treated Apollo as a symbol of something which my unconscious was trying to tell me and figured it out after a lot of work. Another technique is 'active imagination' which is a way of going within. You're just saying Him because it's conventional to do so and yoga doesn't teach that God is male. Where are the snake and mushroom smilies?
Intuitional science.

Are people still fucking talking about this?
The only thing I've taken out of this thread is that Enrico/Riketto's brain should be donated for scientific research. We need to determine how a brain can still function with its structural components dictating logic and reasoning completely dormant.
