I actually read that book that Coyne wrote. One of the many things that turned me off to Christianity in fact was when I was in Seminary. When we reached the point in our course where we discussed alternative theories of creation etc. the instructor got to the section on evolution and skipped the entire chapter. He then said to the class:"If you want to believe that you have evolved from an ape you go right ahead, but I know that I was a creation of the Lord!" Those fundies were so damned closed minded.
