Dark Souls II

RE: Dark Souls II
They do at times, like with slow heavy-hitting bosses, but if you have quick ones like the Ruin Sentinels then you have a rough go of it.

I ended up restarting to create a priest character, I'm really liking it so far. While the lightning attacks are powerful (not quite as powerful or as many as the sorcery attacks) the more important part is the healing and status clearing spells which has made getting through certain areas soooo much better.

I think I'll probably get it, but not until I've beaten the first one... Which may take a while.

Just beat the game, I bent the last three bosses over my knee and shoved lightning spears up their arses.

RE: Dark Souls II
I beat Dark Souls 2 about.. 3-4 times now.. I think im like level 300 something.. By far one of the best games i've ever played. Full of mystery and awesome adventures.. But i gotta say i found DS 1 more challenging and more mysterious.. the multi player even seemed more fine tuned. Maybe its because i played DS1 that DS2 didnt feel so.. hard to me or "new".. while i think it is still an incredibly amazing game i have to say i liked DS 1 better. But would recommend DS2 to anyone who loves gaming period. I usually go for multiplayer games and such.. (shooters) but this game IMO blew all of them out of the water, and the multiplayer is pretty awesome as well.

New game+ is like a whole new expereince.. new enemies differen't situations.. It's not just a "lets knock the difficulty up" kind of thing.. Trust me it is worth a second play through. Some parts even require 4-5 play throughs to get to new areas.. (Think castle room.. 2 throne chairs.. you know what im talking about :p). I would highly recommend continuing your journey.

I felt the same about the level of difficulty, and I think the above is exactly why. DS 1 was so hard because of it's newness and level of difficulty, after I got used to it the rest just fell in line and DS 2 was a breeze.

Oh yes, I've completed the game multiple times on many characters now. It's a great deal of fun. Big Grin

Can't wait for some DLC to come out... I loved the game so much i felt it ended too soon.. even though i have like 200+ hours on just one character.. That's when you know a game is a true gem.. most games now days.. 8-12 hours to play though. My first time through DS2 took me 70+ hours.. I prob could have cut some of that off but why would i want to? I truly immersed myself in this game.. and that is something i think games are lacking these days.

Cant wait for DLC! and Dark Souls 3 >D!

Praise the sun!

Yeah I've got about 130 hrs in DS2 under my belt, but that's nothing compared to the 800+ I have on DS1. I just don't think DS2 is as good.

RE: Dark Souls II
So I never played DS I, about to start up DS II.

Any of those 'I hate myself' character build issues I should be aware of?

I'm not looking to munchkin anything, but I'd hate to make things unnecessarily hard on myself having not played the first installment.

Thanks!
