How did you find him? I grew up in Christianity, and was indoctrinated to believe that the God of the Bible was 'thee one and only god.' How does one know what to honestly believe?
I'm sincerely asking you this.

This is so eery, we were typing pretty much the same line of thought at the same time.
For what morality God has, I think that is simply how we get our own moral sense.
As to how to sense God, it's reflection of a spiritual sense you have of him as well as the nature of your own being with relationship to the eternal source. I think this how I found him. What I mean by spiritual sense is not simply having an idea of him but actually sensing his existence and in a way knowing his existence and the nature of his existence. How much you realize you are acquainted with the nature of his existence and majesty and glory and beauty, is the level of faith.

Heh. This is why I said I am not arguing Islam vs Atheism. I am arguing Islam vs Deism.
Hmmm. I'll have to think whether I believe that is even possible.Well ok, lYou could argue which is more likely, ok.

Does it teach that for sure? Is that what all Christians believe?

If they believe Jesus when he said that "no one" comes to the Father (God) except through him and a host of other verses along those lines, regarding sin, hell, and salvation, then yeah. I don't really see how one could be a Christian if they don't take Jesus' teachings seriously. I'm sure there are "other" ways to interpret the text but it wouldn't be in good standing with orthodox Christianity as it has been understood since the earliest converts.

Are you saying one mutation in the course of human evolution could never have spread to all of humanity?
How did you so badly misunderstand what I said?
Your statement was:
" I think Adam and Eve were two human beings who had a major positive mutation with the mind. The genes eventually made it to all of humanity because of how advantageous it was as a result we are all children of Adam and Eve. They were chosen of course as well to be spiritual examples to humanity."
I am denying the existence of said Adam and Eve.

I find nothing objectionable in mystics post. At a basic level theists agree. Islam is more closely married to Christianity than most. Hell atheism seems to be part of a search for truth.

So god is just a warm fuzzy feeling?
Also once you find this warm fuzzy god within yourself, how do you know which religion to choose? Can you explain how a thousand people can find god and then end up all in a different religion? Is god a prankster or are 999 out of the 1000 just lacking enough faith to use their warm fuzzy god to find the right religion?
