I got derogatory comments at junior school too for being a leftie. Mainly in the dining hall. None of the perpetrators were Christians, that was just the done thing back then. Fortunately in the 70s that behaviour became non PC. I got comments about the contortions of my wrist.

I have heard that you can tell if someone is a lefty who learned to use their right by how far around their right hand is when they write something.

Being left handed is a nuisance.
Everything is designed for righties. I kind of trained my youngest son to be a rightie by switching his eating utensils at meals. Because of the above. My wife thinks I confused him. He turned out to be an excellent guitarists, so I don't know. The Prohibition in Islam comes from not having toilet paper- I heard. Yuck. 78% of my area is Catholic, I did first and second grade in one of their schools and never got whacked for being a lefty.

This is what I was told: Some people who have been forced to write right-handed have developed a stutter later in life. King George VI was one.
left handed people tend to be more logical according to my psychology professor. But of course god hates you because he didn't make you like the rest of us. Even if you're more logical who cares you're different.

I think the problem with islam comes from getting people together for a stoning. When everyone throws from the right side it all works out but if you get a couple of lefties in there it would fuck up the fall of the rocks. People would be worried about catching an errant elbow from the guy next to them.
Catholicism has the same problem only it derives from Bingo games.
