Conservatives are concerned about the deficit, but they are are also concerned about paying taxes. They want welfare for corporations, but not for people who would starve without it. They understand that tax revenue is necessary for a government to function, but the rich shouldn't have to contribute anything to that. They hate the idea of the government paying for anything, unless it's prisons, military, law enforcement or religion. They hate the idea of workers being paid a living wage as much as they hate the idea of workers getting assistance from the government. They believe that everybody has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as long as they can afford to game the system such that they can enjoy these things. If they can't, obviously they deserve to die.

Basically, the conservative message is that if only we let most of the poor die, enslave the rest, and tax the shit out of everybody making under six figures, we could balance that deficit lickety-split. One nation, under sociopathic plutocracy.

I find Democrats (I do view them as conservatives) to be equally as shitty over taxes. Many of them are complete hypocrites..they praise raising taxes, but as soon as they find out that also includes raising their own taxes, they give the generic Republican shit answers.

I have my own issues with Affordable Care Act, primarily that it's not enough. It's shameful that we haven't caught up with the 20th century and established single-payer healthcare yet.

However, it's a definite improvement. My wife and I are self-employed. Without the ACA, even basic, shitty health insurance was simply not an option. Thankfully, Kentucky is one of those rare red states that decided not to let thousands of its own people die and established Kynect (which never had any of the healthcare.gov problems, thankfully).

I had health insurance through previous jobs for 12 years. At no point did I ever have health insurance as good as what I have now (in fact, it was mostly overpriced shit with high deductibles that barely covered anything), and I absolutely don't care that it costs a little bit more than those garbage employer-provided plans (by about $70 a month, give or take). My wife never had health insurance throughout her adult life, being a full-time college student on her own since the age of 18. It's nice knowing that we're not one freak accident or illness away from complete financial insolvency.

There are a lot of people who think we should be.

Obama is clearly better than Bush, but, he's still selling Wolf Tickets like any other American Politician. He's doing some good things, but not doing most of what he actually claimed. If people in this country actually held our Politicians accountable for their words, we'd get some progress. But, not enough people here seem to gives a shit about real change, they just want to hear someone say it on the campaign trail like a mantra. And if we got money out of Politics we could elect the people we want for leadership positions instead of the rich fucks buying-in who the next candidates are like puppeteers.

How is he "clearly" better than Bush? I almost hate asking this question because I hate Dubya with a passion and you would think not even having a president would be better than Bush. However I am curious as to what your clear points are.

Well yeah, in terms of what good things they've done, you'd have to be ignoring reality to think that Obama has done worse.

In terms of bad things they've done, Bush still wins, though Obama is guilty of some things as well I would agree, like the aforementioned Wolf Tickets he ran on to win Prez.

KUSA, your zeal is admirable, but your information is flawed.
It's flawed because it's biased.
It's biased because it stems from pundits and propaganda machines.
Anyone can make a meme for quick, politically-skewed humor, but, in the end, everyone can tell that you are only parroting what somebody thought sounded witty, whose facts cannot be verified. Now, do you have something important to add, and will you back up your issues with clearly-defined points (or at least attempt to)? Are you going to continue to vilify a person using straw man arguments?

I'm afraid you haven't been paying attention if you think he's equally as bad as Bush.
