What do atheists do on Easter (Resurrection Sunday)?

RE: What do atheists do on Easter (Resurrection Sunday)?
Such a strange question. It's almost as if the OP expected us to say that we cower in the dark trying to hide ourselves from the undeniable power of all the Jesus juice being passed around.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I have a lack of a belief in god, I like the stories of the nativity and all that sort of thing though. I live in england though, which is a majority atheist country and most people only celebrate for the tradition. I understand in America and some other countries tho that religion is a bigger deal and more people celebrate the holidays is a more religious way.

Thank you for sharing.

Personally, I will eat far too much chocolate and drink far too much scotch/vodka/whatever else lies within easy reach, then get sad thinking about and missing those closest to me who will never rise from the grave. At least they had the basic decency actually to exist in order to change my life.

Any mental energy left over will no doubt be used in chuckling at the absurdity of xtians celebrating an astronomical event and pretending it's all magic.

eat, drink, and be merry...sounds like that is your way?

You say that as if it's a bad thing; but regardless, "my way" is more like living in the real world and not pretending to be anything other than who and what I am. I shall invite gods to the party when they ask me nicely. And in person.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Dear Atheist Friend,
I want to let you know that I will not be replying to any posts from Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday for obvious reasons. I am planning on presenting on new threads, one at a time, what I will refer to as "The Seven Arguments." If my atheist friends answer each argument convincingly and satisfactory, then I will voluntarily and permanently leave this board. I am hoping the the discussion over seven arguments can be cordial, respectful, void of foul language and name calling. In the meantime, I would like to thank everyone on this board for your perspectives and sharing your views. I also am thankful for allowing a Christian like me to be here in the first place. I especially would like to thank: Esquilax, Stimbo, Minimalist, Aral Gamelon, Angry Cloud Face, Steel Curtain, Tonus, Deidre32, Chas, Kitanatos, Beccs, Brian37, Tartarus Sauce, DarkHorse, whateverist, faithnomore, and to anyone I have forgotten. I love you all in the Lord Jesus Christ and pray for you daily. Have a great weekend to you and your families.
In His Service,
Rev777

Oh jeez, did you post this on every single thread you started? Once was enough, Rev.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

If your 'seven arguments' are as shit as the ones you've made so far i'd rather you wasted your time praying than spamming this forum with your nonsense.

It's not gone unnoticed.
