"I talk to god"(insert god claim here)
I can't help but think of those who talked to a god and got lots of others to drink Kool Aid. I can't help but think of the dozens who followed a guy who said God told him to hitch a ride on a comet.
Yet all these believers who haven't done these things would not be willing to accept the word of a guy who talks to his dog. If you are not willing to take the word of a Kool Aid peddler, or the word of a guy who thinks public transport is a comet, or the word of a guy who tells you a dog told him to commit mass murder, then tell me why if a God is real, by any name, why has peace been so illusive in our species history?
Maybe because the voices in our head are all the same.And the only thing that allows us to spread our fantasies, is the willingness of those around us to blindly swallow them.
