Homosexuals "wrecking" Christian careers

And since they are people, they can have religious feelings.

And since they can be religious, they can practice freedom of religion.

Why should the CEO of Chick Fil a [sic] be required to recognize gay marriages? If you prevent him from doing that, then you are infringing on his liberties.

AMEN MY CHRISTIAN BROTHER!!!!!!!

I'm just so sick of the heathen trash going about our Christian Nation whining about "rights for this" and "rights for that". What about our rights?

To borrow from the anti-death-penalty crowd, why do we stop people from bullying other people to show that bullying people is wrong? When you stop me from oppressing another, isn't that oppressing me?

As True Christians ™ it is not only our right to believe what we wish but also to enforce those beliefs on other people, punishing them as we see fit when they stray from the path our Lord has set for them. After all, Jesus is not just our Lord but theirs as well.

Now I realize that some with a secular godless understanding of morality may say that we have no sense of boundaries but that's only because we have a sense of perspective. What, after all, is a little sectarian oppression on this earth to save more souls from the eternal torments of Hell, where our loving Lord will send people if they choose a partner with similar body parts?

We have a mission to save souls from the eternal torments of Hell. We'll fail, of course, because the Lord has already determined who's going to be saved, but we'll still feel good about ourselves for trying. When the stakes are that high and the results so long lasting, we can't afford to concern ourselves with the rights of others.

Now if we could only return to the good old days when we could really do the Lord's work unfettered by secular interference, we could save even more souls for all eternity.

Big straw man argument. It is one thing to not trade with someone and another thing to put them on a rack.

What's wrong with putting a hell bound heathen on a rack?

If Hell really does exist and it is eternal, isn't a little torture and murder on this world in order to save more souls for all eternity a good thing?

After all, the torture of an unrepentant heathen is nothing compared to what our loving Lord will do to them after death. And if you kill them, you're just sending them to Hell a little ahead of schedule. And for this, you can prevent them from corrupting the minds of children and taking many more souls to Hell with them.

Isn't that a bargain? What am I missing here?

Again, no one is saying that he shouldn't be allowed to have those views. He can personally not recognize whatever he wants, be it polygamist marriages, gay marriages, whatever. But to say people shouldn't be allowed their reaction to his views is ludicrous in its own right, and infringes on those very same liberties you are declaiming.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to react toward another persons point of view. I have no problem if gays boycott Chic Fil A because of the CEO. I have no problem if the CEO of Chic Fil A decides not to hire gay people....or decides to only hire gay people.

I do have a problem when people pretend that gays are not reacting toward people like the CEO of Chic Fil A or the CEO of Mozilla. Those people are stupid unobservant people.

Corporations are collections of people authorized by law to act as a single entity. Why should individuals have freedom of religion but collectives not?

People should be free to serve who they want to serve. If you force a baker to serve someone they don't want to serve.....you turn that baker into a slave.

What's wrong with that? The Bible says slavery is A-OK!

Or are you against biblical principles?

Why is telling people what their sexual preferences should be ok, but telling a baker he should sell his product to someone whose sexual orientation he cannot control not ok?

How does the baker selling goods compare to slavery?

Apparently some courts in the US think slavery is okay too.....as long as gays or blacks or what ever they chose are the masters.

Don't be surprised if some of those slave bakers urinate in the cake batter of your wedding cake.

Its better just to let people be free and serve those who they choose to serve.

You must have some strange ideas about what it means to be human and deserving the right to be human. One should never have to fight for the right to be human. The fact that theists have always prevented humans from their born-given right to be human is why religion needs to wither away into mythology.

False, so wrong, so idiotically reprehensible.

That is the same mentality theists had back in the day when interracial marriage was being considered as legal.

I reiterate, the world would have socially advanced a long time ago had it not been for ignorant theists who think they should step into government to tell humans they do not have the right to be human.

The American Family Association has claimed that it is impossible for Christians to work in a large range of different professions, because ‘homosexuals’ will ‘wreck’ their careers.

Writing to promote its new iPhone app, the group claimed that gay rights activists ‘pro-actively’ stop Christians working as broadcasters, counsellors, photographers, bakers, florists, teachers, or innkeepers.

Mozilla CEO was fired after it was revealed he donated toward California's proposition 8....which stripped Gay and Lesbian couples the right to marry in the state.

Now I have no problem with Mozilla firing its CEO for this. I wouldn't have problem if they fired him because he supported gay rights....or fired him because he was gay....but that is another issue.

It is simply ludicrous to deny that there is pressure from the Lesbian and Gay community to punish anyone who opposes their political agenda.

Hmm I have to agree with you on this sort of. But it's not the LGBT community. It's the entire left side and some of the right side. And it is done so rightfully in my opinion. No is asking them to approve of homosexuality. No one gives a rats ass if you approve or not. But if you are actively working against equal rights in the US, you deserve to be publicly shamed and ostracized.

The only way to maximize equal rights for everyone is give people the freedom to choose.

Suppose you are a photographer who hates catholics(perhaps some catholic priest molested you). Should you be allowed to choose not to photograph catholic weddings? Hell yes. However now if you're such a photographer you have to worry about being sued.....which is silly.

Why not just let people be free instead of trying to impose your morality on them?
