Well, 45 isn't quite senior citizen, but it's as far as I've gotten. I guess I can answer the question "does getting older suck?" Only in terms of the physical toll, would be my response. You get older, and stuff starts to ache and get stiff (not in the good way) and your joints start to make clicking and ticking and cracking and groaning sounds and you
welcome that because it means you're getting a bit loose and can probably move around now.
Mentally, emotionally, and pretty much every other way? It doesn't suck at all. You're probably as smart and wise as you've ever been, but not as you'll ever be, and that's not a bad spot to be in.

do you realize what percentage of people live to be 60? Especially a century or few ago! :p
I think I have a good chance (assuming I don't kill myself in a car crash or something), my father died earlier this year at 93 years old and my mother is still going strong at 91
