Can't say that's ever done it for me.

Go throw away the bible, fuck yourself, then study science for about 10 years, then you may choose to return.

God had to pay me dinner first, before any chance of loving. And people say I'm not romantic!

There you go.

Your turn.

Oh, and calling it "Darwinism" is just a creationist ploy to make it seem evolutionary theory is contingent upon the writings of one man.

It isn't.

Depends what you mean:

Religious gods like the one in the bible and the vedas then no they are false as most claims made about them are false.

Deistic god:evidence.

Richard Lenski's long term E-coli experiment. Fantastic evidence of evolution right before your eyes.

I was in the US Navy for 8 years, my friend. On everything from a 42' sailboat in a Western Atlantic squall to a 875' amphibious assault ship in a typhoon. Was and remain an atheist. Try again.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Gawds in general: The complete lack of any type of testable, verifiable evidence.

Your particular gawd: The complete lack of any type of testable, verifiable evidence and the fact that the buy-bull describes him as a completely morally bankrupt asshole with serious self-control and anger management problems and an ego larger than the solar system.

When I was much younger and far more gullible than I am now, I tried really hard to believe. I won't say I ever succeeded (I didn't), but I really wanted to believe. So, I got down on my knees and prayed. I asked. I begged, I cajoled. I offered trades and bribes. I got absolutely fuck-all in response.

Now, would you please present some evidence or take your snake-oil salesmanship somewhere else?!?

I gave you that all the way back on page three when you first began this ridiculous line of argument. You squawked about it all being up to interpretation, which to me just shows that you don't understand evolution, didn't bother to even look at what I'd given you, and have no interest in learning, just in preserving the conclusions you've already come to by dishonestly reducing everything down to opinions.

Well, fine: if you want to play in a solipsistic world where everything is opinion, then you'd better stop thinking you can ever prove or know that god exists, or that your religion even exists. After all, everything is opinion, right?

Or is it actually the case that some things can be objectively known? Thinking

1) There's no such thing as "Darwinism".

2) There's lots of evidence for evolution. Why do you think they update flu vaccines each year? Why do people keep catching colds instead of becoming immune after their first one? Why are there dozens of "transitional" forms?

What part of evolution do you not understand or agree with?
  • Mutations occur in genes.
  • Mutations are passed on genetically.
  • Some mutations have a positive or negative effect on an organism's ability to pass on its genes in a given environment.
