Why don't I believe: Lack of the above, contradictory documentation, etc
Do you only believe in things that have testable evidence?
Do you believe in the tooth fairy? Or put another way, please tell me another phenomenon you believe in that has no testable evidence.

There is more physical and testable evidence for many of the truths of Christianity, than many things that are almost universally believed. The resurrection of Christ, example was seen by hundreds of people. What keeps you from believing that? And God spoke to the entire all the freed Hebrews around Mt. Sinai.
As for evidence two words: necessary being.

And besides, others a difference between data and evidence.

The following video is way off base on why God doesn't show himself. It says if God showed himself, we would only obey him out of fear not of love.

Here's another two words: unjustified assertion.
Oh, and here's three more: cheap rhetorical trick.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

That doesn't make any sense. Why can we love things that we can't prove exist, but we can only fear them if we know they exist? Fear and love are both emotions. There's nothing special about love that transcends existence, and there's nothing special about fear that can only make it apply to real things. Why are kids afraid of the monsters that aren't under their bed?
If God wanted love and not fear, there are better ways to get that. I accomplish that with my children by not threatening them with eternal torture and they totally know I exist.

What has brought you to that conclusion?
Do you think it's something besides looking for such evidence and not finding it? If so, why do you think that?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
