Well I'm glad I didn't come off offensive, thanks tack- like I said, this is a very christian area and many of my friends are religious. We don't talk about it much, but they are. Here's hoping I'm not run out of town!

News! They published my letter *gasp*! Not a lot of feedback, except the writer of the original letter actually called me!!! Actually she called my mom's house looking for me but I called her back and she had a lot to say. A lot of it was repetition but sadly all of it was just variation on evidence from belief. Whenever I tried to speak she just ignored what I was saying. I should note that this lady is 84 and has been quite Christian all her life so really it's not much of a surprise; it's just sad to me how close-minded people can be.
Well give her a break... she's 84!
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

Poor 84 year old...it's amazing she could manage a phone! Try and tell her that her 'faith' is based on an old Babylonian religion that had been rehashed and rehashed to the point that it is an incomprehensible bundle of lies and the poor dear will have that opportunity to go and meet her god. Again...congrats on the publishing...hoping that there is little knockback effect for you in your community.
