I like the old fashioned hymns, they evoke a certain affinity with the olden times. Its a bit like walking through an old church, you get a sense of history, the lives people lived, their beliefs etc.
Handls 'Messiah' was often played at christmas times in our house. it never fails to conjure up childhood memories of an open log fire, stuffing tangerines and snowy countryside (yes, once upon a time it used to snow at christmastime!). Anyway, despite the religious content i always thought that was an amazing peice of music.
Christian rock though, makes me want to puke. It should be illegal.

I still have a "Gregorian Chant" station on Pandora that I listen to
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a goddess, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'm partial to some Kristin Chenoweth.

Maybe a little Robin Mark. JCash as a few good Christian inspired songs.
Many good songs have Christian influence, though I'm not sure I'd call them 'religious songs' necessarily.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

Here's a pair I forgot to mention in my previous post:
Harry Belafonte can do for "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" what Richard Thompson did for "Oops, I did it Again."

"Sanctus" from Missa Luba, as seen through the filter of Malcolm McDowell's debut film If.

That is so mean! But for some reason it made me laugh really hard. Lol! You're going to hell for saying that.

The only Christian music I've ever liked has been Bach, and King's X:
... mainly because they touch the spiritual, rather than the religious.
