Evolution 'proved' wrong

RE: Evolution 'proved' wrong
It took some doing but eventually I sorted through all the horseshit and found a "source" for the article.

As expected:

Quote:Source: Kent R. Rieske, Biblelife

Just another bullshitting jesus freak. In fact, that nonsense could have been written by G-C.

That site's mission statement...

Quote:Vertical Thought —a magazine of understanding for tomorrow's leaders—strives to serve up relevant content to help young people ages 12-22 discover and live God's way of life.

Science does not and cannot deal in preconceived notions. Learning about evolution from these people is like taking medical advice from a janitor.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

[quote]Evolution is still called a theory—a possible explanation or assumption—because it is not testable according to the scientific method[/i]
[quoted from the article, bolded by me]

The above is all you need to know about the intellectual honesty of the author. Giving a layman's definition in place of the proper scientific definition when trying to debunk a scientific theory.

I noticed that, but the first link that I got was from this site, which said it could prove evolution false without using the bible

I can prove to you they are completely straw manning a scientific theory they don't understand if you visit this link and read the misconceptions and answers.

Didn't even notice that! i saw UCG didn't get the meaning. my bad.

Rephrasing the question: Can evolution be disproved?

Yes - fossil rabbits in the Cambrian.

The correct question is "Can the Theory be falsified?". The answer (as above) is yes. If it can't be falsified, it's not a scientific theory.

Has it been falsified? No, though it has been tested continually for 150 years and will continue to be tested.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Look, OP, this is really simple: the first image in the article you posted is a picture of Charles Darwin with a quote. Here:

Now, see, this immediately sets my blood boiling, because it's a quote mine. It's a lie.

Here's the full quote, in the first subsection, next to the misquote. Darwin was not saying that the eye could not possibly have evolved, he was saying that it seems ridiculous when only looking at the current, complex human eye and nothing else.

To me, that's the end of the conversation with regards to the factual accuracy of that article you posted. They lied to you almost immediately, and it's not like they could have missed the rest of the paragraph that quote was taken from.

They lied, because they are dishonest, and more interested in proving evolution wrong than in being factually correct. I stopped reading there, and frankly, so should you. Conmen won't teach you anything worth knowing.

Again, our friends the platypodes. The author of this nightmare of an article describes an egg-laying, duckbilled mammal with the tail of a beaver and reptilian-placed limbs ending in otter-like feet and insists that evolution isn't true.

As to 'a lot of people debate evolution', the important thing to remember is that the truth or falsity of biological evolution isn't being debated in the scientific arena, but in the religious and political ones.

Sommat like 97% of all scientists and virtually ALL who work in biological fields understand that 'nothing in biology makes sense except in light of evolution.' It's as if you had some dreaded disease and 100 physicians examined you and 97 of them said, 'Drink this and you'll get better' while the other three said, 'Wear this shiny hat while eating a carrot and yodeling the Mongolian national anthem.'
