Another brave soul come to preach his cause. I'm sure you'll bring us delightful insight that we've never heard before.

My personal definition is:

Any ritualistic attempt to earn the favor or love of an invisible deity or deities. For example: In Budhism, in order to be saved you should escape the world's suffering by achieving Nirvana through enlightenment. In Islam, you should pray 5 times a day, go to Meccha, fast, and maybe blow yourself with terrorist with the hope of get to heaven to satisfy your sexual desires with 72 virgins.

Do you have any Christian background, good or bad experiences?

I used to use LostLocke's definition, but was informed that there could be other reasons besides the complete and utter lack of evidence for a god(s) existence. That is the main reason for most atheists, and me personally, but not for all atheists, apparently. Therefore I use the definition I used.

I was expanding on what Alice said; that you should've made your first thread in the Introduction sub-forum. Stupid beliefs deserve to be mocked, and if you can't separate yourself from your beliefs, then you will find it hard here.

If you find my beliefs stupid, I am OK with that, I accept positive and negative criticism. Now, can you present me any observable experience that you have had of any Christian who doesn't quite obey the command of obeying Jesus's command of loving their enemies (and by loving their enemies I mean not cursing when they are being mocked, or giving clothing whenever someone needs it, or forgiving anytime they are asked for forgiveness). Whoever ''Christian'' doesn't practice that is not a true Christian, it's a false convert. And I apologize if I offended anyone here with those words.

Oh you're not missing out on much... you're just in time for tea.

And I almost forgot this one: True Christians are not allowed to send anyone to hell because of differing beliefs, if the person didn't want to believe, move on and don't even think about cursing that person within your mind.

The poor thing... I stayed my temptation for his sake, but he throws himself before me. How much tantalization does it think the dead can take?

Brakeman:

I'm going to talk from my own experiences. I talk to God everyday through prayer but God doesn't answer me with real conversations, but I believe God answers people's prayers through life's circumstances. If you heard someone say ''God told me this and that'', three things are sure: That God truly spoke with audible voice, or that same person need psychiatric help, or that person heard demonic voices and that person believed it came from God. That's maybe the reason why there has been mass suicides from people that claim to come from God.

Answering your last question: I haven't drunk any poisonous beverages because that would mean exposing myself to unnecessary risks and we as Christians can't tempt God. We believe that when Jesus Christ told his disciples that they would handle snakes and would crush scorpions he was talking about the authority that we as Christian have over the powers of the kingdom of darkness (Satan and his host of demons). For example, helping people to escape the addiction of pornography and drugs by trusting in the sacrifice that God made through Jesus Christ for the past, present and future sins of humanity.

I can assure you, pornography has a LOT more to offer me than Jebus. A metric shit tonne more, in fact.
