You love fornication because you are born with a sinful nature that makes you love your sin. I used to be worse than you in that regard, I started with pornography at 11 years old, as a result of falling in pornography I fell in masturbation, then I had an inexplicable sexual attraction towards little girls, but was never brave enough to harass them because I knew there was something wrong with it. Even after a year of converting I had to battle to escape pornography until finally I was free from it. Having sexual desires is not a sin, sex becomes sinful when you use it for the wrong purpose. God created sex for two purposes: for reproduction and for physical satisfaction between a man and a woman inside the bounds of marriage. After a man and a woman have sex, an emotional tie is made, or what in the Christian view is called a soul tie, which is a tendency to depend emotionally towards the other partner, that is the reason why after a break up between couples there is always someone who gets hurt. But sex is not the only way of getting soul ties, getting along with someone of the opposite sex can set soul ties.

So not only are you a paedophile, you also reckon you know exactly what god wants from us. Did you learn this from god himself? Did he come down and speak to you? What's he like? Was he testing you with such lust? You seem know an awful lot about him, almost as if you have some kind of personal relationship with the guy (or is it a girl). Does he enjoy giving people the sexual desires of a peadophile? Is it all part of some master plan that we're all too stupid to comprehend? I'm genuinely curious how a god who appears to be so fucking crazy has influenced you to be such a brilliant person who knows so much about morality and goodness.

I am so intrigued. Bounce Ball

Oh yes Jose. I fornicate each and every day. Well...mostly.

Dark candles in the room, pic of Satan on the wall. Slayer on the stereo. Bottomless bowl of BBQ baby. My women dig that. Gets 'em all horny-like. You haven't lived until you've munched on a tender, juicy BBQ baby leg and then started munching on something....else. Yum.

But being a god-hating, fornicating atheist, I can't help myself!! What do I do? Please Zeus save me!

Welcome Jose. Like all atheists I am guilty of failing to be persuaded to adopt belief in any gods. Not much more to say about that really.

But maybe you could help me better understand the minds of those who do believe, at least the Christians. I understand that it is possible to have the sense of an internal other, as xtians do, and I don't think it is necessarily pathological. I really don't. What I've never understood is how that experience leads to the bible. I'm convinced that combing over the bible for ones marching orders is an enormous waste and imposition on normal people.

Kitanetos:

The person that wrote what you wrote is probably speaking from experience, I have some ideas about his/her conclusion: he was observing the group of believer s who were praying and the outcome of those prayers, but apparently he didn't see anything happening. He never bothered to have a serious relationship with God and because of that he/she never experience anything. He/she observed that the outcomes of prayers were working, but was always trying to find ways to scientifically and statistically explain the reason of the outcomes. God can allow believers to experience persecution and sickness, but that doesn't mean that He is punishing them, because He can use persecution to train believers for more difficult tasks. God allowed persecution with the Christian of the 1st century so that the Christians of the 21st century can have an idea of what following Jesus is like.

Practice "fornication"?

I don't need to practice - I'm VERY good at it.

Hi Jose, Welcome to the forum. What doubts do you have? Post a clear list of your questions and I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses, albeit not necessarily of the type you're after.

And no, clearly people think different things about atheism. For example, I'm certain from reading your posts that your thoughts are very different from mine. You'll do better on this site by treating people as individuals rather than trying to lump them in to this group 'atheists' that you seem to have pre-defined in your head. Whether your preconceptions are destroyed or not will depend on how honest you are with yourself.

Enjoy!

Napoleon: I used to be an ''inner'' pedophile but I've already abandoned that habit, therefore I am free from pedophilia. You can find God purposes for humanity in the Bible. I have never seen God. God didn't tempted me, I fell by myself and got trapped, and the more I fell the more difficult it was to get out. God don't give people ''pedophile desires'', the people are the ones who fall and make a habit out of it. The reason why God appears to be crazy is because most of us come from societies that don't give the whole picture about the true character of God.

JesusHChrist: Can you tell me at what age did you started with fornication? Did someone older than you gave you that idea? Are you struggling with it? Have you ever been visited by invisible entities at night or dawn? If you have been visited at night or feel as If someone invisible is spying on you at night or having sexual dreams you are being visited by the succubus demon. There has been a lot of witnesses about this.

Becs: By practicing I mean making a habit out of it.

whateverist: The reason why you fail to be persuaded of any god is because the faith that you need to believe in God it's not of the kind: ''I need to see to believe'', it is the faith that comes as a spiritual gift from God. It is not a faith that you can auto-impose. So don't feel guilty about it, maybe it's not your time to believe.

That certainly is another aspect. Treat us as individuals.

The only thing atheists have in common is the "off" position on ALL god claims. Other than that we come from different countries, have different political views, are at different education levels and even different income levels.

I for example know of gun hugging atheists who like some gun hugging fundies think any law is tyranny. I also know economic libertarians atheists I hate. But I am also not fond of politically correct liberal atheists who think cussing and blasphemy are more important than the actual oppressive laws or acts of violence done in the name of religion.

Absolutely we are all individuals.
