I would like to see a neanderthal cloned. They say that it's brain was bigger and smarter than the modern human. Fascinating.

They were? Regardless, I'd like to see them cloned. But if we did, wouldn't a human woman have to give birth to it?

All races except pure African decent have up to 4 percent neanderthal dna. Birthing one should not be a problem.

I doubt there is any evidence they are smarter. But according to anthropologist Jarad Diamond of UCLA, there are evidence their biological development from birth to death is not identical to ours. For example, their children seem to mature sooner than ours and their women appear to have no post-menopause life stage. It has been suggested this shows Neanderthals were not as well adapted as HSS to tight family units with grandparents, with lots of knowledge transfer during the children's growth stage.

Cloning: Interesting but not necessarily a good idea.

No, I wasn't saying there'd be an issue regarding our genetics, I was wondering how many of our women would be willing to give birth to one. xD Then again, you'd probably get in the history books a little, so maybe there'd be more willing than I think.

The real question we must ask regarding any future clones of Neanderthal and Erectus: Did Jesus die for their sins too?
