Judging from that it'll be from grade 4-12.
That's if she makes it that far with half my genes. :-)

Yep.... 7th or 8th...
You start using 'x' in 7th grade... with equations and functions... maybe you start using equation systems in 8th grade or so.
Anyway, it's completely plausible that this would be one of the more difficult exercises in a 7th grade maths manual/test.

So, OP, which is it? Are you in 7th or 8th grade?

Well... it seems like a doable exercise... I'm just not qualified for it.

My thermodynamics teacher sucked big time... I never learned anything decent... still made it through with a decent grade... not knowing anything.... kinda makes you wonder, huh?
Now, I'm more in data analysis... big calculations to extract physical quantities out of diagnostic data... for fusion plasmas... don't really need thermodynamics! Tongue

Besides, I have no idea what T_C and T_H stand for in there.

Fair enough. T_C and T_H are the temperatures of the cold and hot resevoirs of the engine. Personally thermodynamics isn't my favourite either; I find like particle physics and relativity interesting, all that counter-intuitive stuff.

If you bit one end of a wire and stuck the other end in your ass, how fast would you have to longitudinally circumnavigate the world to electrocute yourself?
