Is anyone involved in a local atheist group?

I don't imagine many atheist groups would shun a christian that wanted to sit in, as long as that christian didn't try to convert anyone.

We had a Christian who belonged to our online group. We had to ban him for abuse and preaching.

We're a lot more concerned about "safe place" than this forum, as most people can go find forums to talk to others if they want to, but not everyone has access to a local meatspace group.

The Unitarians would accept atheists with open arms.

And not proselytize to accept Jeebus . .

I've gone right off Unitarians since they started getting into terrorism. I've heard they go about burning question marks on peoples' lawns.
