For some reason this post isn't showing up after the post I quoted.

Looks to me as though it's the auto merge function employed by the forum?

I understand (& like) the auto-merge function, but I was replying to the post below mine quite a few minutes later. I didn't think that was expected behavior & I know it didn't work that way in the past. They are temporally out of order. It looks like I'm replying to Rhythm's post before he makes it.
