Spelling in thread titles
|
I'm with the grammar Nazis. Folks, if you think your ideas are important enough to make a new thread accessible by all, use a damned spell checker already.
What makes me laugh is he "knew" it was about him and his spelling mistakes.
If he knew he made that many spelling mistakes, why didn't he bother to correct them? Even after the fact! That's just laziness and inconsiderate to the extreme. We all make the odd mistake, no ones cares.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
I can't believe this thread is still going.
It really wasn't personal in any way. I don't know the guy, I don't even recall who wrote the threads with the spelling errors. Thread titles are very short and very conspicuous so it's a good idea to make sure that they're right. Still, it seems that that he wasn't very popular so maybe some good came of it. The right result for the wrong reason, how many times does that happen in life!
I wouldn't worry dude, guy had it coming.

I personally am disciplined about spelling; I cannot stand misspelling a word. I very rarely use a spell-checker, too. I'm a writer; language is my tool. I take pride in wielding it well. But I don't hold the misspellings of others against them, so long as they're not crowing about how intelligent they are.
If everyone just used Google chrome we wouldn't have an issue with spelling mistakes, it has a spell checker built in.

I cross 7s most of the time because I thought it was cool when I first learned of it when I was a teenager. I am now 56 but far from mature.
Thread titles that aren't properly capitalized
