Fortunately, I still have another cat, who is the sister of the one who just died. Hopefully, she'll live a lot longer. Right now I think she misses her sister because she's not very energetic- not that she usually runs around but it's a little worrying.

About kitty heaven? I think she just wanted to comfort me and I didn't bother saying I didn't believe in that.

You might try getting something like Feliway to help your other kitty adjust or feel more secure without her sister around.
