What is with Neil deGrasse Tyson' arguing with people most of us will never meet? Is his ego that at risk?

Did you just not read the thing? Tyson said something in a completely unconnected interview in reference to the Ham/Nye debate, and Ham's cronies rushed to assuage his ego. The only one actually arguing here is the Hamster.
