Divergent's 101 Plot Holes

Divergent's 101 Plot Holes
I just finished watching Divergent. While I thought some of the action was cool and a few things here or there were clever, as you can probably guess, I really, really hated the plot and characterization. Those of you who enjoyed my Twilight Rant Thread will enjoy this rant, made up from my live-blogged impressions as I watched all 139 minutes of crap.

The 101 Plot Holes in Divergent

Major spoilers for Divergent, minor spoilers for The Hunger Games

Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

Well, it was two hours and nineteen minutes of my life I knew I would never get back. Tongue Hope you liked it!

LOL

Haven't read Divergent but I recently talked with a coworker about that, and between that conversation and this review I'm pretty convinced I don't care to read it. :p

The Cinema Sins channel at Youtube just did a similar breakdown of Divergent.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Good! Only you can stop the tide of fanfiction (Divergent, City of Bones, Fifty Shades of Grey)! OK, maybe not. But still!

Yeah, I know that. I didn't want to see it until after I saw the movie, and I'm interested to see how his list is similar and different to mine.

Now go and destroy the next ripoff before it can rot anyone else's brains.

So I finally got to watch CinemaSins's "Everything Wrong With Divergent in 16 Minutes or Less" and was laughing until I cried. Plus, I feel proud that the flaws we both pointed out in the same movie were very similar. I've put the video below my original list for comparison.
