Hah! Yeah. I can remember running Mechwarrior II on a 486-33. It ran too fast to actually play it. :o
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I got out of IT ~12 years ago & never looked back. Network OSP design is much more satisfying.

It still amazes me to this day that IT has little respect. I mean I think it can be safe to say IT people are the main driving force behind the economy right now. After all we keep the damn computers running right?

Wal-Mart & fast-food are also driving economical forces. Gotta find a niche that is hard to outsource or completely automate. I'm suggesting to my kids to become plumbers & electricians.

I am trying to get into the project management and design of networks. I do not want to be part of maintenance side.

I keep thinking of writing a "Left Behind" type book. The faithful are a great group to target in terms of sales!

Do it from the perspective of someone who was raptured.
Day One: "God called me home. My family didn't come with me. I was a little upset that they'll be burning in hell for all eternity but, on the bright side, I get to spend eternity with God so who cares?"
Day 2 "Spent the day on my knees praising god. What an awesome way to spend my day. Feel sorry for those left on Earth as they get on with their empty lives without me."
Day 3: " "Spent the day on my knees praising god. What an awesome way to spend my day."
Day 4: "Spent the day on my knees praising god. What an awesome way to spend my day."
Day 10,000 "Spent the day on my knees praising god. What an awesome way to spend my day."
Day 20,000 "Spent the day on my knees praising god."
Day 100,000: "Spent the day on my knees praising god."
