I told my "psychic" aunt about the James Randi prize money, however she said that she refused to use her psychic powers for material gain. I told her I would be more interested in having such tests done for science, not material gain.
Either this guy actually claimed the money, or it is a hoax.
You might ask her why she couldn't try to win the money then give it to charity. No material gain.
